HEALTHCAREBUSINESS.FI IN BRIEF
Healthcarebusiness.fi is an international
window for Finnish Healthcare and Medical Research companies. The
service provides e.g. company and research information, customer
cases, news and events. It serves multiple interest parties
involved in the cluster. Main purpose of the service is to provide
up-to-date information and to facilitate co-operation between the
different players in the cluster.
Healthcarebusiness.fi was launched in April 2006 and joined
the Finnish Digibusiness service concept.
The concept brings together four digital clusters: Medical
and Welfare Technologies cluster, Digital Content Business cluster,
Digital Learning Business cluster and Software Business cluster.
The Healthcare Business project is financed by Economic
Development Centre, the Finnish State
Budget through the Ministry of the Interior as part of the
National Centre of Expertise programme;
The Centre of Expertise for Medical and Welfare Technologies
as well as four polytechnics: Laurea,
Stadia, Arcada and DiaK.
Management board of Finnish Healthcare Business consists of
the following persons: Marianne Dannblom (Culminatum Ltd Oy),
Riikka Paasikivi (The Centre of Expertise for Gene Technology and
Molecular Biology) , Tero Suursalmi (Culminatum Ltd), Taavetti
Mutanen (T&E Center), Hilkka Heinonen (Laurea), Heikki Säntti
(Stadia), Camilla Wikström-Grotell (Arcada), Raili Gothoni (DiaK),
Pentti Tuhkanen (Culminatum Ltd Oy) and Janne Lindfors (Saranen
Consulting Oy).
The Finnish Healthcare Business project was done in
co-operation between the following parties:
- Saranen Consulting Oy - project management
- Ambientia Oy - technical implementation and platform
provider
- Crescom Oy - hosting service
- Helia University of Applied Sciences - content production
- Laurea University of Applied Sciences - developing
registers and providing content mastering
Healthcarebusiness.fi belongs to the Centre of Expertise
program and is maintained by The Centre of Expertise for Medical
and Welfare Technologies. The Centre of Expertise for Medical and
Welfare Technologies promotes the growth and internationalization
of business in the fields that produce welfare and medical research
products, technologies and related services for different customer
groups and purposes. The target group for operations consists of
approximately 600 companies mainly in Helsinki region.
